Just listened to Sadie Robinson and was eager to hear about the city’s plans for more bike lanes. She mentioned repeatedly Metral and Front street lanes. That’s it? Crestfallen, it appears Nanaimo will continue to rely on developers to develop 50 feet of bike lane wherever they’re building and we continue to have this patchwork of safe bike lanes in this city. I guarantee Lisa Helps wasn’t passing the buck when she made Victoria a leading city in North America for safe bike lanes and routes.
